LIONEL JOSEPH BRUNEAU 1909 - 2005 Passed away peacefully at Foyer Valade on March 14, 2005. He leaves to mourn his wife of 72 years, Helene (Peloquin). His son Marcel (Nancy), daughter Jeanette Smoluk, daughter-in-law Joyce, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Lionel was the last of his siblings, predeceased by his sons, Gaston and Jacques (Joyce); grandsons, Rickey and Gerry Bruneau; and son-in-law Bill Smoluk. Lionel loved to travel, fish and garden, but his first love was genealogy. His work in genealogy was recognized by the Historical Society, and he traced family trees for friends and relatives. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, March 17 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Boniface Cathedrale, 190 rue de la Cathedrale. Many thanks to the staff of Foyer Valade for their special care.
